FREE Edition
VPNmonitor is a free (GNU GPL) Java tool to observe network traffic. Network administrators can use it to monitor VPN (PPTP and IPSec) and SSL (HTTPS) connectivity of wireline/wireless networks. The graphical representation makes it easy to visualize messages being sent between computer nodes. Users can also read messages not of the above types in plain text. PRO Edition
The PRO edition includes all the functionality provided in the FREE edition, with an addition that the network administrator can monitor multiple remote networks using one computer. This is achievedby creating a tunnel between the monitoring program (a server) and an applet (a client) for viewing the result. The administrator can install more than one servers, and observe the networks at the same time on one screen. Otherwise, she can install one server, and observe the network from different office locations.
For instance, with the FREE edition, a network administrator can monitor a single network. The monitoring computer locates within the network. It is good enough for the use of small office or home networks.
